Compress PDF to 100KB / 200KB

The problem: The embassy, university or government portal says “PDF must be under 200 KB” — and your scan is 4 MB. The application deadline does not care.

How to use — quick guide

Choose your target size, then upload the PDF you need to compress pdf to 100kb (or 200 KB) for an embassy, university or government portal. Pages are re-rendered at a lower resolution right in your browser until the file fits, then you download the smaller copy. It is free, no signup, and your documents are never uploaded.

How to use it

  1. Choose your target: 100 KB or 200 KB.
  2. Upload the PDF — pages are re-rendered at lower resolution in your browser until the file fits.
  3. Download the compressed PDF and upload it to the portal.

Frequently asked questions

Will text stay readable?

Pages are rendered as images, so text stays readable at the sizes portals accept, but it is no longer selectable text. Keep the original for your records.

What if my PDF has many pages?

More pages means each page gets less room. Very long documents may not reach 100 KB — try splitting the PDF and uploading parts if the portal allows it.

Are my documents uploaded?

No. Rendering happens entirely on your device with pdf.js and jsPDF.
